Original painting was displayed at the “Dreams” group art show at Five Deuces Galleria in St. Pete, FL on July 2, 2022.
In early 2022, I read the Shadow and Bone trilogy by Leigh Bardugo and in the third book, Ruin and Rising, the quote “are we not all things?” kept coming up.
I loved this idea, that on a molecular level, we are all connected to everything around us. It also reminded me of a quote by Neil Degrasse Tyson that goes: "We are part of this universe; we are in this universe, but perhaps more important than both of those facts, is that the universe is in us."
I don’t know if Leigh had Neil’s quote in mind when she wrote that book, but to me, it was a fun connection and it inspired this painting.
